Our client was going through a separation from their parent company, a large US pharmaceutical organisation. As part of standing up their ‘soon to be new’ organisation, they needed to hire a Technology leader to help them imagine the future operating state of the global technology function and work with the wider board to create a “to-be” business strategy that would transform them into a digital-first organisation.
Our approach and response to this challenge
The board had a vision of what the business required but needed support articulating this vision into a clear hiring plan. We carried out numerous meetings with the relevant board members to ascertain what their key drivers were, which we then played back to the board along with our recommendations of a go-to-market hiring plan.

Working with the board we created a job specification for the appointment of the organisations first Chief Digital and Information officer. We agreed a structured and tailored approach to the market and successfully fulfilled the brief.
